This month we’re talking about Oracle’s Narrative Reporting suite, which is an EPM reporting tool on steroids and can handle just about every performance management reporting need: static reporting, ad hoc, narrative reporting, disclosures, statutory reporting, and regulatory filing. Anthony and I interview Al Marciante, Sr. Director of Product Management at Oracle (and also oversees the Narrative Reporting solution), as well as Jay Chapman, Sr. Consultant at Sierra-Cedar.

We are publishing this episode in time for the February 2021 release of Oracle EPM Cloud. In case you missed the PSA, “Reports” is being added to EPM application pods (Planning Cloud, Financial Consolidation and Close, etc.), and is the replacement technology for Financial Reporting (FR) in EPM Cloud. Reports will reside right next to FR until customers have fully moved over. This new reporting technology is borne out of Narrative Reporting’s Management Reporting solution. I refer to it as the “lite” version of Management Reporting.

It’s an exciting milestone to have a new, no additional cost reporting solution to replace FR, and I personally can’t wait to see how customers respond to the next generation of Oracle EPM static reporting.
